MaryT,
I have never attempted to make Yorkshire pudding...Mom made it all the time when I was growing up, and I loved it. I guess I just don't want to hear my kids say they don't like it! LOL It is so good with gravy! I guess I like pretty much everything with gravy, which explains why I'm not a size 6! Whenever we would have a pot roast when I was growing up, my Grandpa would always have "dessert" after eating all his regular food, but it was bread and gravy, instead of something sweet! I try to limit myself on some of that, but every once in a while, I do the same thing; I just can't help myself!

Ohhh don't even mention gravy around here! I can't fix a meal without gravy! If I try, the first thing hubby says is 'where's the gravy'....and I have to grab a packet of mix and make some of the instant stuff. I swear I'm gonna get jars of it, where all I have to do is nuke it and be done!
My fatherinlaw did the same thing with "dessert" that your Grandpa did. And my father loved his sweet desserts - but then he'd always have to have something non-sweet afterwards, like a little gravy and bread. To this day 50 years later I still have a tendency with certain deserts (that were his favorites) to want that gravy taste afterward. Gotta be a contagious generational thing. |

| I loooooove Yorkshire pudding. I am fortunate enough that the Lawry's Prime Rib restaurant is here in Chicago. They have the *best* yorkshire pudding. |

It's always nice to know you're not alone! I'm glad someone else likes Yorkshire pudding, too! Maybe I'll have to try making it one of these days!
