Last night I tried to make Mattie's Orange Cinnamon Poppy Seed Cake for the first time. I followed the recipe exactly and used my tube pan. After baking as directed for 38 minutes the cake still had a moist center so I left the cake in for another 5 minutes. Despite this the center was still wet and the cake sank. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions? I have been using this cookbook for 2 years and have never had any problems with any other cake, bar, or cookie. My oven temperature has never been a problem.

Hi Molliec
I've made this cake before (and loved it, especially with an orange or white mix) but don't remember how long I baked it for. I use the times in the book as a guideline, 38 minutes seems like too little for a tube cake though. sorry I couldn't be of more help!
