Actually, I need to bake one. My business has been slow this month and a relative has been ill and I am down about it all. So, I need to bake me a cake! DH teases me because when I am depressed or cranky I should bake. He and the kids (especially the four boys!!) love to eat it and I always feel better after I bake. I am thinking about a scratch pineapple cherry upside cake. Not that anyone else here really needs to know all this, but I figure that everyone else here has similar tendancies.

Yes, I do the same thing. Except I bake when I'm angry about something. Think about it, you take out your aggressions by cracking eggs, beating the ingredients.... Can be all violent and then have something yummy later. And my family always knew when I was really upset by if I added extras. Like I added chocolate chips to banana bread or extra cinnaman and nutmeg to pumpkin bread....

Then I got hold of the CMD books and just went crazy.

I bake bread. One with wheat flour! :D It is the hardest to knead by hand. Sure,I could use my bad boy(kitchenAid) but kneading bread when you are frustated, depressed, angery,. Well,...I don't think I have to say no more do I ladies

Pam, I have kneaded a lot of bread by hand....the old way, and I can tell you right now, by the time a person is done, you certainly don't have the energy to be angry any longer. One might say that it works the kinks out.

AMEN! Pam, you are so right, but I sure wish at some time I had had my dough hooks by the time I finished. I think everyone in town could smell it, and other cooking and line up to eat. :

You know, not many women empathize with me when I say I bake to relax. I have a great honey wheat bread I make. Like a wise women here recently replied, it is all violent in the beginning and sweet (or savory) in the end!

Yours,

Melissa

There is something about baking that makes me feel good, if that makes any sense. I can hardly wait for the finished product, so I can see the results.

jbatta, I am on my way to get a flu shot, and I don't know how much I can help you in such a short time. First, you click on the title of what you want to read. and it takes you to that page, then if you want to make a comment you simply click on "Reply To," either at the top left of the page or toward the bottom left, if memory serves me. then it takes you to another page where you can type your comments, and the easiest way to change color or type size is after you have typed what you want to say, just simply highlight what you have typed, and look up where it says Default and click on the arrow, and it will give you a drop down menu with various colors.Choose the color that you want and click on it. Your type should become that color if you still have it highlighted, but then you will have to highlight your type again, and you can choose B for bold type, i for Italic, u for underline for things you want to underline. There are also, other things. Then if you want to change your Font size( the type size) then highlight what you have typed again, and click on the arrow next to where it says Normal, and again a drop down menu comes down, then click on the size you want. When you have finished with all this then look down below a ways, and you will see where you can preview what you have done, and then if you are satisfied that is what you want then click on Submit, and it will post it for you. If you want to keep up with the board, and what is happening by all means, it is a good idea to get them to notify you. They will simply send you an email with a clickable link that takes you back over if someone posts to something that you have said you want to watch. I hope this helps some. I am sure there are other things that I haven't even touched. Maybe, someone else can make it more clear. Be patient with yourself. Anything new takes time, and you will learn as you go along. Ask questions if you need to, and someone will probably try to help you. Most of all enjoy the bb.
