My name is Jen, and I am a SAHM of two boys, 3 and 1, well, almost 4 and almost 2, actually. I love to bake, and just made a dragon cake with the Basic Buttermilk Devil's Food recipe, and it was as yummy as it was good-looking, heh.
My favorite cake recipe tho would have to be the one I used to make my wedding cake. Yes, I made it myself, all three tiers, and my sis basketweaved it to perfection. The topper tasted as yummy on our first anniversary as it did at the reception. I used the Bride's Cake recipe for two tiers, and the Basic Buttermilk Devil's Food Cake for the middle, plus tons of Buttercream Frosting!
I recently made the Applesauce Raisin Cookies, and they were delish, too. I've never made a bad cake yet using this book, and I tell everyone to use it too!

My name is Nikki. I've been married for 6 years. We have three children (4yos, 3yod, and 7 monthod). I am a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. I got my love of cooking from my mother. She's the one who introduced me to the cake mix doctor.
Everything I've made, my whole family has loved. My husband LOVES sweets :D
A couple of our favorites are:
 Cookies and Cream Cake
 Debbie's Dazzling Red Velvet

My name is Jane & I have been baking since I was about 10 years old. I used to get up early on Saturday morning and have a cake in the oven before my parents woke up! I have all three cake books and my favorite is German Chocolate with Pecan-Coconut frosting. I bought the chocolate cookbook just for that frosting recipe. My books are much-loved with post-its sticking out with different friends and family members names marking "their" pages.

My name is Kathy, and I live in Corona Del Mar, Calif. (Newport Beach area). I am a 50yr old (50 is the new 30) mother of 4 and grandmother of 2 + one on the way. I haven't tried any of Anne's cakes yet, but I saw her tonite on the Foodtv network, and can't wait to buy the book and get started. I love to bake, and often take in cakes to the hospital where I work as an RN. I am sure everyone is going to love all these new recipes :D
Thanks Anne for all of your hard work.

Hi everyone!!! My name is Nichelle Parsons, 32 and I am happily married. We live up in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) but I was born and raised in Minnesota and lived in Southern California for 12 years before moving up here to marry the love of my life. It's kind of funny because he is a brilliant chef and I am the baker of the family. Needless to say, we eat very well. LOL!

I guess I am fairly new to the CMD but I now have three books (Cupcakes is my favorite). I have been baking ever since I was a small girl and I truly love it.

I look forward to getting to know people and grabbing some amazing recipes. Anne, you do such a brilliant job and I always feel creative whenever I read through your books. Thank you for making it okay to use a cake mix again.

Have a great day!!!!

Nichelle

Hi,

I'm 35 with 2 little girls and a husband. I love to bake and it is a pretty rare month we don't have cakes and cupcakes! I have both CMD books and the Cupcake Doctor.

I would say my favorite cake is the yellow butter cake with chocolate frosting (what can I say, I like the basics!). Everyone in my house adores cupcakes, so we bake them for any reason we can think of!

New to the group, but looking forward to meeting new friends and sharing tips and ideas.

Greetings everyone. I'm Buck and I've been fortunate enough these past few years to divide my time between New York City and the Pocono Mountains. City life is exciting but the country gives me the opportunity to bake in a HUGE kitchen and that's more exciting than anything! I guess I like the simple things in life. Anyway, I've been loving Anne's books for years and I think my favorites - or the ones I make most often - would be:

1) White Chocolate Cake w/lemon curd. Delicious and I make my own lemon curd to go with it - so easy.

2) Hummingbird Cake. Everyone thinks I bought this one at a store when they see/taste it as it looks so "professional". There's a famous bakery in NYC called Magnolia's that also makes this cake and I've got to say that Anne's recipe is so much better than the $6 a slice one you can buy there.

Thanks Anne for the terrific books! There's nothing more rewarding than making a cake for friends or loved ones.

My name is Nancy, I'm married to Mike, the love of my life, and I have a sassy orange tabby named Mango.

My favorite cakes (and most often requested) include:

Cookies & Cream Cake
Hummingbird Cake
Snickerdoodle Cake
Amazing German Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Midnight Cake,
and last but not least, the one I turn to most often when I'm trying out different frostings and fillings—
The Darn Good Chocolate Cake!

The best thing is nobody ever thinks these cakes are from a mix. The other thing they don't know is that bakeries use mixes but they are never as good as the Cake Mix Doctors' cakes.

I still make a lot of my cakes from scratch, but for a spur of the moment or last minute cake, these recipes can't be beat.

My name is Laura and I reside in Los Angeles, CA. I have my own cake design business and my website is www.cakesbylaura.net. I have a great hubby who fully supports me in this business and a beautiful son of 20 months.

My favourite recipe is the Piña colada cake whom brides go nuts when they sample the cake. I love Anne. She has opened my ideas and given my business a little boost. :)

Hi everyone,
I don't have a favorite cake-I'm diabetic.
My husband's favorite is anything I bake, especially layer cakes, and I've never had any complaints.

Hi I'm phrog,

I love cooking. We're empty nesters just retired and loving it. Two grown married functional children.

I've tried the chocolate spice pumpkin cake and my husband who is used to my scratch baking, loved it and was surprised that it had a cake mix in it. I found that 1/2 c. water can replace the egg to lower fat. I'd like to try more mixes that are lower sugar and fat. That way this phrog will hop for a loooong time.

Hey, y'all. I'm Mardi. I'm a 31 year old Correctional Officer. I have 2 great children, J & K, both on honor roll and both active in sports. I am engaged to a great guy who (OH, MY GOSH!!!) doesn't eat cake. He is such a blasphemer! I make homemade cakes, but I have loved the Cake Mix Doctor for years! She has saved my skin many a time with these tried & true recipes:

1. Honeybun Cake
2. Old Fashioned Cola Cake
3. Easy Tiramisu
4. Chocolate Macadamia Biscotti
5. Pineapple Inside-Out Cake

So a big hug and special thanks to you, Anne!

My name is Cathy. I have all 3 books and the Dinner Doctor book, but I keep going back to Darn Good Chocolate Cake. I get such raves from it that I haven't ventured much away from it. I've also gotten compliments on the Best Birthday Cupcakes. I'm hoping that joining this board will inspire me to try more recipes!
