I just baked a batch of the ghirardelli dark chocolate brownies using the pecan chip brownie recipe from the CCMD book. I added extra bittersweet chips but was still disappointed with the flavor. The unbaked batter was great but they didn't retain the chocolate flavor after baking. I didn't over bake them, the texture is good. I was wondering if any of you had this experience with the ghiradelli dark chocolate brownie mix. Do you think that the triple chocolate mix that they sell in bulk at the warehouse stores is better?
thanks

I know this may be a year too late, but I haven't tried Ghirardelli's dark chocolate brownie mix. I have, however, tried the Triple Chocolate brownie mix that the warehouse club stores carry. Very good, even without any doctoring, and the 3 different kinds of chocolate chips are nicely balanced out. It definitely retains the chocolate flavor after baking!

Thanks Kimberly,
Never too late for chocolate, and they still sell those mixes at Costco :P
