Hi all, since it is spring (supposedly!), and I had some lamb, I tried the Spring Lamb Stew (p. 103-4, I think, of the DD). It was great! Of course, as we all do, I fiddled with the recipe some (after all, the books aren't just about recipes, they're about making doctors out of all of us!), adding a little thyme, and being forced to use raw potatoes for lack of any frozen ones. And I swapped in asparagus for the peas (we don't care for peas), and finished it with parsley (no mint!).
However, I followed the basic instructions and the method, and was thrilled with how quick and easy it was. Very comforting and fresh tasting. The sauce thickened up nicely, but I would serve it with bread or a spoon to make sure you get all the good juices.

ps--The leftovers reheat well, and make a nice lunch!
