I intended to experiment with The Dinner Doctor all this week but I got sidetracked more than expected. However, one night I did make the Mushroom & Ham Linguine. I had leftover baked ham from a weekend family get-together. It was very quick and easy and very good. (I told my arteries to pretend they weren't seeing that heavy cream!) I thought it needed a touch more color so I tossed in a handful of frozen peas when I added the cream.
After 3 frustrating days with my computer, I really needed to bake something. (Had computer fixed and all is well now.) I WANTED the Darn Good Chocolate but opted instead for the Sour Cream Cinnamon Loaf. Talk about simple - and it smelled heavenly while it was baking. I had seen the recipe early-on and asked DH to pick me up a box of the Duncan Hines cinnamon swirl muffin mix called for. I didn't tell him why I wanted it so when he saw a sale on Betty Crocker muffin mixes, the dear thing brought me home BC's cinnamon streusel muffin mix. Its weight was 17.something oz. vs. DHines' 19.1. But I just followed the recipe using the same quantities and it is quite good.
