Greetings.
I love the idea of the Banquet frozen crockpot meals in a bag. They are just so easy to do. But the taste falls way short of ideal. Not enough meat, artificial tasting seasonings, and on and on.

Does anyone have recipes for making home-made dinners that are stored in the freezer that are ready to be dumped into a crockpot and forgotten?

I made a chicken dish the other night with frozen skinless boneless chicken breasts, 1 can of chicken broth, and two bags of frozen stew veggies. I sprinkled in a healthy dose of seasoned salt and powdered garlic (I was out of fresh) and black pepper. Then, about 1/2 hour to an hour before serving, I added 1 can of chicken gravy. I think it could have used another can of gravy to thicken the sauce more, but it was pretty tasty, and easy too.

That's a good idea -- making your own freezer crock pot meals. I can't think of anything now, but I'll see what I can come up with over the next day or so.

Though not completely from the freezer, we like what we call Mexican Chicken. Put the chicken, can be any parts, but, boneless works best, into the crockpot with a jar of salsa (we like the pineapple or peach salsa from Target) and a small jar of queso cheese. Cook all day, the chicken just falls apart. Serve over rice with a bit of sour cream if the salsa was spicy.
