I received this magazine in the US Mail yesterday. Wondered if anyone else received it? It is a very good magazine. It has some great cookie recipes, cake recipes, tips, and craft ideas and much more. I had registered on their web site previously and I guess that is why I received the new magazine. It doesn't say anything about future magazines, but, I hope they continue to send it,I thoughly enjoyed it.

Happy Autumn to All! :)

Hi Charlene,

I'm also registered on their website and get their free e-newsletter so I wonder if I'll get a copy of this magazine.

Did you get the sense that this was a free magazine or just a promotion?

Hi T.

On the cover of the magazine it says..Holiday edition. But on the inside of the magazine it states that they are launching the.. Very Best Baking magazine. So ,I am assuming there will be more issues. It has 33 pages to it and I read every page, but saw nothing about how to get on their mailing list. My guess is that they are mailing it to those that are registered on their web site.
I hope you receive yours! :)

I, too am registered, but so far I haven't seen the booklet. I checked back at my profile on their site, and they also, have my snail mail address, so we shall see. I couldn't see any place on their site to request the booklet. Thanks for the info.

Hi Mary K.

I sure hope you receive this magazine.I am very pleased with it, especially since it was free!
I can't imagine how I received it if it wasn't from begin registered. It has some really good cookie and candy recipes in it. Plus some good gift ideas also. I also checked their web site this morning to see if there was a place to request the magazine, but, couldn't locate anything.

Yea, yea. I got a copy in the mail just awhile ago. It even has 4 printed gift tags to attach to a, "Mix in the Jar," type gift. I hope everyone of you all get one. This is going to be fun.

Hi Mary K.
Isn't it nice to receive something so nice, and for it to be*free* also!

The Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies, and the Toasted Almond Truffles look especially good to me.

Enjoy your magazine,

Hey Pam - I just noticed that you live in Mishawaka. I am in Hobart (about 65 miles west)of you. my son is in Granger, we come out there quite often. It is nice to know that there is someone so close to me that also enjoys the CMD books and the BB.
:)
Happy Baking!
Charlene

Hi,
My girls, one is 11 and the other is 19,and they love to visit them. At times they tell me "Its time to go visiting mom". They say they learn alot from them. From travel, to the olden times as they put it.

Pam - it warms my heart to hear when children enjoy being with "seniors". I'm sure your daughters just make their day but I bet daughters gain self confidence and self esteem each time they are making other folks feel good. I love older people too (yes, there are some even older than me!) and wish more people took time to be with them. They are so appreciative of anything you do for them. I am "penpals" with an adult day care center - my sister was the director there before she retired. My DH & I were knee-deep into beanie babies for the grands (OK, some for me too). Sister asked if I would visit the center and tell the folks about beanies. They were tickled to pieces and we surprised them all by giving each their own beanie. I'm knee-deep now doing crafts for their bazaar next month. Need to get them done now so I can do all the baking the few days before. Tell your daughters I'm proud of them!

I first want to echo what's been said about visiting seniors. What a blessing for both the seniors and the young ones!

Also, I contacted Nestle by email regarding how to get the magazine in question here, and this was their reply:

We are responding to your inquiry regarding subscribing to the Very Best Baking magazine. Everyone who is registered as a Very Best Baker on
www.verybestbaking.com will receive a copy of the magazine. If you were a member at the time of the initial mailing of our first magazine you will receive a copy. The mailing has not yet been completed. If you register now you will receive the next issue of the magazine.

We appreciate your interest in our products and hope you'll visit our website often for latest information on Nestlé products and promotions.

Sincerely,
Mary Ellen Crossin
Consumer Response Representative

Sounds like you who will be receiving this issue are fortunate! :)

Carolyn, you will be so blessed, and I know from experience that they do so appreciate everything. We used to go sing, and they were the most appreciative audience anyone could have wanted. We also, had a ladies' bible study group, and made things for bake sales to make extra money to then in turn make up food and goody baskets, and fix things for the people in the homes. Many of them have no one else to do for them. If for no other reason than, and here is a thought, "if we live long enough, we too, will be among the older persons." This is just wonderful. Just their smiles, and the child like kisses make it all worth while. Thank you for caring.

Thanks SmileySunrise for the info about the magazine. I knew I should have registered when I saw a note about the site in the Sunday coupon section a few weeks ago!

MaryK, thank YOU! I'm already well on my way to being among the older persons but I'm a young older person.
