Hi keo and welcome.
The strawberry cakes and frosting that I know are in the book The Cake Mix Doctor. If you don't have it you can buy it by clicking the "Buy the book" button above, or check for it at your local library. (You can also get it at Wal-Mart, any regular bookstore, etc.) There have been some recent discussions of the strawberry cakes - check out the search function. We cannot post copyrighted recipes, but sometimes they are in the newsletter too. I don't know how to do links for you, but I am sure that someone who does will come on soon and help you out too.

Good Morning, :D

Welcome! Keo. What Kathy said is right, and they are wonderful books. If you would like to take a peek, you'll find them at your library.

I couldn't find the recipe here on site, but I found a couple of places Anne has placed the recipe for her, very popular and good, "Triple-Decker Strawberry Cake". It you have a subscription you can even see the cake at Southern Living or they will even let a person have a sample subscription to try, and then you can access the site, and thus view the very pretty cake. Just click on the bold type below:

Southern Living, March 2004

and the:

POST GAZETTE

Again we are glad you're here, and would love it if you could come back, and share with us the results of what you make.

Hello everyone!
I am new to the Cake Doctor and I can't wait to start trying different recipes! I live in California. I am 34, a homemaker with 3 children, and I have been married to my high school sweety for 15 years. I love to cook and bake. I do some catering every once in a while.
I am a chocoholic! My favorite is dark chocolate. Yum! The richer the better when it comes to desserts!
Would anyone like to become pen pals for recipes or just life in general? Just e-mail me. Thanks! jjinnielou@frontiernet.net

Hi All-
I don't usually introduce myself but here goes. I am a 50 yr old pastor, former school teacher, mother of three, grandmother of one, wife of a dairy farmer. We've been married 31+ years. I bake a lot. I love the cupcake book!!! I have had a lot of fun making the various cupcakes in the book. Thus far the favorite in this house are the Cinnamon Toast Cupcakes. Part of the family also liked the Key Lime Pie cupcakes as well as the Cappucino Chip cupcakes. For me however, anything with Chocolate in it is a winner! :) One can never, ever have too much chocolate!

. Hi everyone, my name Ericka and I live in Oakland, CA with my husband of 14 years and our two son’s ages 12 and 7. My favorite cake from the cake doctor is Susan’s Lemon cake. I love being in the kitchen. It's my favorite room in my house. Cooking and baking came natural for me. I started with an Easy Bake Oven I had at least 5 different ovens until they got boring around age 9, that's when I baked my first real cake, it was for a bake sale at the school I was attending. And I never stopped. Most of the time when I bake cakes their box cakes. I try to only bake homemade cakes from scratch during the holiday’s, and birthdays because there so much work and take tons of time. My cookies are always homemade my kids, niece and nephew would have it no other way.
I’m glad to be apart of this communication board and hope to learn new baking techniques. I would also like to thank Mary K for telling me about this site.

Hello, everyone! I am new to the site and new to the Cake Mix Doctor. I am a 28 year old stay at home mom, have been married for 2 years and have a 9 year old girl and a 4 month old boy. I am also watching kids right now which is enough to drive anyone insane  , but I love making cakes. I am the one the family calls when there is a special event that needs a cake. I have only tried a couple of the cakes from the book, but look forward to making MANY MANY more. :D

Hello everyone. I have been around a while, but never noticed the boards before. Sorry.

I am 58 years old, married to a wonderful man for 39 years, have two wonderful children (girl and boy) and one grand daughter, 6 years old. May have some more grands when the son and daughter-in-law get settled. The are back home to north Louisiana after being run out by Hurricane Katrina. Our son was able to transfer up here to the university and will finish in the spring and the daughter-in-law has a teaching job in a local high school (she just finished law school, but does not want to be a lawyer  Go figures!!!

Favorite cakes are:

1-Rich's Chocolate Rum Bundt Cake with Fluffy Chocolate Frosting (I make layers and frost for birthday cake)
2-Amazing German Chocolate Cake
3-Tunnel of Fudge Cake
4-Stacy's Chocolate Chip Cake
5-Mom's Chocolate Syrup Cake

Love the board. SueLynn

Hello all-

I found this site rather recently after my ump-teenth attempt at trying to make a really great cake from scratch! I decided to stop torturing myself...I like cake mix cakes better anyway. I've made a variety of "cake mix" recipes in the past, but just purchased my first Cake Mix Doctor cookbook a couple of weeks ago. Your site really helps me zero in on the best recipes to try...although I'm excited to try all of them!
As for me, I'm 27, and have been married for 2 years to my sweet husband. He's in the military, and we're getting ready to move completely across the country for the third time in two years! I LOVE baking... The only problem? My husband doesn't like desserts!! I come from a big dessert-loving family, and it kills me to waste all of my creations. I once spent $10 shipping German Chocolate Brownies via Priority Mail to my parents so that someone else could appreciate how tasty they were! :D As for my favorite cake...since I haven't tried many of the CMD cakes yet, I'd have to say my favorite is my family's official birthday cake recipe: Ding Dong Cake! I look forward to participating online, and have a few questions that I hope to post soon! Thanks!

Hi Chesapeake and welcome. I think you will really enjoy the CMD book (and the other ones are awesome too!) and we look forward to hearing of your experiments as well as questions. This is a really helpful board; many of us feel like old friends once we get going! BTW you might want to invest in some mini bundt pans. Then you can bake and freeze for yourself what you can't eat all at once. Many of us do more baking for others than we do for ourselves, too. (If we didn't give so much away we would not fit through the kitchen door!)

Hi everyone, my name is Melissa and I live in western PA. I am a divorced mom of three wonderful kids, the youngest of whom just turned one. I just picked up my first copy of the CMD and I love it. I am currently on phase one of the South Beach diet, so I am torturing myself looking at all the recipes! So, I haven't made any of the cakes yet.
I love making birthday cakes for my kids and just recently did my first cake with fondant. It turned out really nice, and was very easy. Anyway, I am looking forward to collecting recipes and getting to know all of you!
Melissa
