Hi,

I made that this weekend for my sons family, because he did some chores for me. This was the first time I made it. Very good and easy to do. I don't know how to do links but she had it posted last year in November or December. That is a good one to have the ingredients on hand and then just put it together. Turns out I have a torn rotator cuff.

AuntyEm

Good morning, AuntyEm, :D

With a torn rotator cuff it's no wonder you are in pain. I'm glad they found the problem, and hopefully, that will soon be repaired.

Hi,

Yes, that is the one. They liked it very much. I wanted to taste it, but I didn't want to leave a spot where I took some out. It smelled heavenly.
I will keep those ingredients on hand so when I need to do something quick and yummy I'll have them.

AuntyEm

AuntieEm,

I've never seen, Washington Apple Cinnamon Raga-Muffin mix. Were you able to find that or did you use something else in its place? Thank you. :D

Hi AuntyEm

I had surgery for a torn rotator cuff 5 years ago. I want to stress to you that after your surgery is over and they start you on Physical Therapy,be sure that you work REALLY HARD at the exercises that they have you do. I made sure I went to every session and I did all my exercises at HOME that they told me to do also. The key to you getting all your range of motion back is to really exercise those muscles alot. The Dr. told me I would never get my full range of motion back..but, I proved him wrong!! My arm is completely back to normal and is actually stronger then the other arm. I know that my working hard at my P.T. was the key to my success!

Hope your feeling better soon. :)

Hi,

I was able to get that muffin mix, but I think any of those small boxes of muffin mix would do.

I think they caught mine before surgery was needed, but I've had 7 weeks of intensive PT plus the home exercises. I know the home exercises are very important and I do them faithfully. One doctor misdiagnosed me and sent me for PT for arthritis in the neck. Fortunately, some of those exercises are the same as the exercises for the torn rotator cuff.
I was really surprised when they told me it was completely torn. I thought I had tendonitis of the shoulder. When I went to the emergency room, they were more concerned that I was having a heart attack because I had pain down my left arm and up my neck.
After all the tests showed that I was not having a heart attack, I had to practically beg for pain medicine. Finally, I found a doctor who specialized in pain management and he gave me a cortisone shot and started me on PT right away. It just goes to show you how important it is to get the right doctor. They told me it will take three months to heal. I think mine happened because of wear and tear rather than a specific movement I made. I thought just sports players and heavy lifters had rotator cuff problems. Constant use of the phone or the computer can do it too. Thanks for the concern.
It is nice to know people are thinking about you. (~.~)

Charlene, I agree totally. My DH also, had that, and it takes a lot of very diligent and just plain old hard work consistently to get back the range of motion, and it not just sort of lock up at a lesser point.

Hang in there AuntyEm, and I'm glad that you didn't have to have that surgery. Even therapy can be quite a job, but is so very important. We're here as your cheering section.

I will probably have to get another muffin mix. I'll look but I don't believe our stores carry that brand. Thanks. :D

AuntyEm,

So glad to hear you were able to enjoy at least the smell :) of this delicious crisp. Now that fall has kicked in I may have to try my hand at it if I can get settled into my new place.

Unfortunately I won't be attending that same Christmas party again this year to see what new delicious creation this individual will make this year.

Mary, if you have a Walgreens or Riteaid drugstore in your area, you might be able to find the mix there. Weird, but they tend to carry them vs. all the markets. You might want to call first before you make an unnecessary trip.

Thanks Barbara. I had never thought about looking for that type thing at the drugstore, and I know they carry all sorts of things.
