Good morning Ingrid, :D

I have made the little sausage appetizers, but never what you are talking about. Check these 2 recipes and see if these sound anything like you mean. The last one really sounds more like it might be closer, and it's rated 5*****.

That sounds like a Pampered Chef-kind of recipe. Have you contacted a Pampered Chef rep? They make a lot of rings and braids using crescent or bread dough. That might put you a little closer to what you're looking for!

Thank you both for your input. The crescent sausage roll sounds like it could be it!! I will try it and will report. I do not know of a Pampered Chef Rep. that I could ask for a recipe. Ingrid/Koechin

Ingrid,
I found a Pampered Chef recipe using refrigerated pizza dough. You use two pkgs. and spread the filling on each one, then roll them up like a jelly-roll, and join the ends together to make a big ring. The filling is spinach, sausage, mushrooms, garlic, and mozzarella cheese. Also, on the Pampered Chef website, you can locate a consultant. While some of their products are overpriced, some are well worth every penny, like the hand chopper that actually doesn't hurt my hands! If you want the recipe, just PM me. I can't post it since it is copyrighted.

OOps, Diane, :( Those links at Pampered Chef may just be session links, and only good for as long as a person is on their site, and then they expire. This one no longer works. Do you know the name of the recipe, so we could just ask for it when we get to Pampered Chef's home page?

Hi Ingrid

When you search for the recipe, don't use the "Recipe Name" box. I found the recipe by typing "sausage" in the "Keyword" box. That gave me a list of 8 recipes containing sausage. The Stuffed Spinach and Sausage Roll was one of them.

Ingrid,
I am so glad you were able to access the recipe. I am very sorry for not being able to post the link so it would work...I was hoping the moderators could fix it! My husband was breathing down my neck for his turn at the computer last night while I was trying to PM you, so that was the reason I didn't type the recipe to you. I can't complain too much about him; he needed the computer so he could fix my friend's laptop. I hope you like this recipe!

Diane, This other link works so all's well that ends well. It is odd that it will pull it up by it's name at times and at times you have to do like George stated and just type in spinach. Computers can be contrary. :(

Ok, all you helpful cooks out there here is what I did, The result was great.
I sauteed 1 lb of Jimmy
dean LITE sausage with 1/2 minced onion, and 1/4 tsp. dried Thyme and a pinch of cajun seas.until cooked through. There was nothing to drain. I let it cool and then added 1 generous cup of shredded, sharp cheddar, and 1 lightly beaten egg and some chopped parsley. I mushed it all together and refrigerated it until next A.M.( I did not need it until then and did not want to do it then! :-) )Next morning. 2 rolls Crescent Rolls. Open one at a time and spresd out to form one single sheet. Spread 1/2 the sausage filling down the middle and rool it up. Repeat with the next one. Pinch ends and seam together. Place on cookie sheet. Brush tops with an egg wash.(egg beaten with a little water). Bake at 375* aprox. 18-20 min. until nice and brown. Let stand 5 min. before slicing. They were a big hit! next time for the fun of it I am going to try pizza dough. Enjoy, And thanks again for all your help. Ingrid/Koechin "HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO ALL"!!!
