These are probably silly questions, but I haven't felt up to cooking/entertaining other people in about three months, and my dinner this weekend is the first time. And I don't want to mess it up.

Anyway, here are my questions:

--I know you can make meat lasagna, and refrigerate for a day before baking. Could I do the same with a spinach/vegetable lasagna?

--Can I also pre-prepare stuffed mushrooms (no meat in the filling), and just pop those into the oven when I'm ready for them?

--I saw no-boil lasagna noodles for the first time in the store today. Do I have to alter the amount of liquid in my recipe to use them?

Oh, and thanks Catherine, for the dessert suggestion; I think I will make the parfait. :)

SmilieFace, I'm glad you feel better, and no question is a dumb one. That's the way we all learn.

I'm afraid I'm not really much help with your questions though. I've heard about the no cook lasagna noodles, but I've never used them. We aren't great lovers of pasta; although, I do make mac and cheese once in awhile. Look on your package of the no cook pasta and see what it says about using it in a dish of some kind. It really should give you some directions about how to use it and the adjustments needed.

Then in the meantime maybe, someone who has used them will respond to your thread.

Smilie Face,
I posted a review a couple of weeks ago about the Easy 4 step Lasagna from the DD. Do you have that book? 48 oz. of sauce should be about right for a package of no-boil noodles, if that helps you. Check out the pasta recipes in DD for inspiration!

Yes to the first two questions - although baking the mushrooms and certainly the lasagna will take longer since they will be cold when you put them in the oven.

I forget the answer to your third question - but it should say on the package of noodles if you need to add liquid or not.

Good luck!!! Your menu is good for a party - you won't be fussing in the kitchen all night - you will be able to enjoy your guests.

I usually make mine the day before and I use the regular noodles and just use some extra water along with the sauce. I have no problems at all with it. I have made it with meat or fresh veggies and both worked fine and my guests enjoyed them.

Thank you Mary.........If it's quick and easy....it's for me.

My daughter and I do a Christmas Dessert Party each year and thank goodness we found the Cake Mix Doctor book. No one believes they began with a cake mix!!

Isn't it wonderful? I share your opinion!! :D Did you know Anne has 4 current books? For more exciting news, be sure you are subscribed to the Newsletter, because then you will get to read it a month or more before others do. If you don't already receive it and that's something you would like to do, it's free, so CLICK HERE to sign up for it.

To take a peek at Anne's 4 most current books, click on "Buy the Book," shown it the red strip up close to the top of this page. That will also, give you a brief description with a picture of the books. They are all very good books, and mine have post-its sticking out of pages to remind me I still want to make some certain recipe. I still have hopes of making the others I haven't yet tried.
