New Book

I am very excited about "What Can I Bring" coming out, I have all the other books and they are all very helpful! We are always going to dinners or parties and sometimes I get stumped. I don't want to always bring the same thing, I would like to try new things, so I can't wait!

Yes, the new book should be good. We all have questions about "what should I take to the potluck (or dinner or lunch or other event)", and it will be nice to get ideas from a trusted source!

Welcome! We're all in a flurry over it too, and having seen some of the pages, I think it's safe to say I'll be finding myself a copy when it's published. Stay tuned to Anne's blog. She's planning to share some more recipes from the book that will be helpful for your holiday toting.

Hi Anne....I've been reading about the upcoming 2008 book tour for "What Can I Bring?". I sure hope you are able to come to the midwest sometime next year. Authors often neglect the center of the country, except for Chicago, yet we have such dedicated cooks in America's heartland. Minneapolis is always a popular venue, as is Des Moines. I realize population is not what it is on the coasts but...we would love to meet you here too!

I just finished reading the review on amazon.com, and it looks like the new book will have a variety of recipes -- from casual to formal. It would be nice if Anne could go to your area, so you can meet her in person!

Thanks for the welcome, Smilie! I'll go to Amazon and read about the new book too. I have all Anne's other books and, to be honest, keep going back to the original time and time again. Funny when I know the others have great recipes as well.

Hope to see the book tour come to greater Midwest.

Anne has some of her tour schedule posted on her blog here,and it looks like she's going to be in St. Louis this fall. Not sure if that's too far from you, but maybe she'll have some more midwest events in the spring.
