Help! I need a tried and true recipe for chocolate chip cookies that stay soft and chewy - not hard and crisp.
Any suggestions?

Well, I've always kept a piece of bread in with cookies, and that makes them nice and soft. So, if you have a recipe with a good flavor, you can soften them up this way.

I add a box of instant vanilla pudding mix to my cookie dough. The finished product stays soft for days.
